Regular Season Round 11: Spartak Pleven - CSKA 84-86

The most exciting game of round 11 in the NBL took place in Pleven. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 3rd placed Spartak Pleven (7-5) to fifth ranked CSKA (6-5) 86-84 on Wednesday evening. CSKA looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for the former international forward Aleks Simeonov (200-1993) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Jordan Callahan (184-1990, college: Tulane, agency: Helping Ballers) helped adding 14 points and 11 assists. Power forward Dimitar Marincheshki (200-1990) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Martin Marinov (191-1985) scored 18 points. Four CSKA and five Spartak Pleven players scored in double figures. CSKA have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted CSKA maintains fifth place with 6-5 record. Spartak Pleven lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. CSKA are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Shumen (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Spartak Pleven will have a break next round.
