There was no surprise in Hanau where 5th ranked Skyliners II (6-5) was defeated by top-ranked White Wings (11-0) 87-69 on Friday. White Wings forced 19 Skyliners II turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Bruno Albrecht (189-2001) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and American center Bubba Furlong (206-1999, college: NWOSU) who added 13 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks during the contest. Four White Wings players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Felix Hecker (193-1998) with 16 points and Nolan Adekunle (200-2002) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. White Wings have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-0 record. Loser Skyliners II keeps the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with TKS 49ers. White Wings will meet league's second-placed Koblenz on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Skyliners II will play against Coburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
