Regular Season Round 12: Wolmirstedt - BSW Sixers 76-86

Very expected game when 8th ranked Wolmirstedt (5-5) was defeated at home by second ranked Sixers (9-2) 86-76 on Friday. Strangely Wolmirstedt outrebounded Sixers 42-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Sixers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian point guard Aleksa Kovacevic (187-2002) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American swingman Donte Nicholas (196-1987, college: FPU) who added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Sixers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Bill Borekambi (199-1992, college: Sequoias CC) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Martin Bogdanov (186-1992) scored 18 points and 8 assists. Wolmirstedt's coach Eiko Potthast rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sixers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Bernau. Loser Wolmirstedt dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Vechta 2. Sixers will meet at home league's leader SSV Lok Bernau in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Wolmirstedt will play against TKS 49ers (#6) in Stahnsdorf and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
