Very important is a road loss of third ranked Deisenhofen (7-4) against eleventh ranked Speyer (4-7) on Friday night. Visiting Deisenhofen was edged by Speyer in a tough game in Speyer 84-85. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. It was a good game for Croatian-Canadian guard Jake Babic (196-1995, college: TAMUCC) who saved his team from a defeat with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. American Quadre Lollis Jr (196-1994, college: Presentation) contributed with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Speyer's coach Carl Mbassa allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Fynn Fischer (208-1999) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds and Moritz Noeres (200-2000) added 18 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Deisenhofen. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Speyer moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Deisenhofen at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Rhoendorf. Speyer will play against Arvato College Wizards (#11) in Karlsruhe in the next round. Deisenhofen will play at home against OrangeAcademy (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
