Regular Season Round 10: TSU - Titebi 89-79
Date: December 24, 2022
Rather expected game when 9th ranked Titebi (2-7) lost to sixth ranked TSU (5-4) in Tbilisi 79-89 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by TSU. Titebi managed to win fourth quarter 28-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Titebi 48-34 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. TSU looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international guard Nodar Gogodze (190-1994) notched 29 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international forward Mikhail Berishvili (204-1987) supported him with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 24 points and 4 assists by American guard Luke Moyer (185-1993, college: John Brown, agency: Players Group) did not help to save the game for Titebi. His fellow American import power forward Quentin Davis (199-1999, college: Mendocino CC) added 19 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. TSU have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Rustavi and Delta. Titebi lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Vera. TSU will meet Rustavi (#5) on the road in the next round. Titebi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Vera.
