Regular Season Round 11: Selcuklu - Bursaspor 69-92

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Bursaspor (8-3) outleveled on the road bottom-ranked Selcuklu (0-11) 92-69 on Sunday. Bursaspor dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Selcuklu's 32. Bursaspor forced 22 Selcuklu turnovers and outrebounded them 59-31 including a 26-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Berk Akin (188-2005) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points. Hasan Kaplan (-2004) helped adding 8 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Iranian point guard Mohammadbasir Momeni (-2004) responded with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Mehmet Turkmen (-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bursaspor maintains second place with 8-3 record having just three points less than leader Gaziantep, which they share with Tofas. Loser Selcuklu still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Bursaspor will meet at home league's leader Anadolu Efes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Selcuklu will play against Pinar Karsiyaka (#3) in Izmir and hopes to get finally their first victory.
