There was no surprise in Usti nad Labem where 10th ranked Slavia (4-11) was defeated by seventh ranked Usti n/Labem (7-8) 94-78 on Wednesday. Usti n/Labem made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Tony Hicks (186-1994, college: Louisville, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import power forward Delvon Johnson (206-1989, college: Arkansas) helped adding 11 points and 19 rebounds. Five Usti n/Labem players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Usti n/Labem have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 7-8 record, which they share with NH Ostrava. Newly promoted Slavia keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Usti n/Labem will meet Hradec Kralove (#11) on the road in the next round. Slavia will play against the league's second-placed Decin where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
