Regular Season Round 15: Nymburk - Pardubice 68-76

The game between second ranked Nymburk (10-5) and fifth ranked Pardubice (9-6) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. Nymburk was defeated by Pardubice in a tough game in Nymburk 68-76. 26 personal fouls committed by Nymburk helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Petr Safarcik (193-1994) who scored 17 points. The former international point guard Tomas Vyoral (192-1992, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 13 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Eric Lockett (196-1995, college: NC State) who recorded 17 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import center Nate Watson (208-1998, college: Providence) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pardubice moved-up to fourth place. Defending champion Nymburk dropped to the third position with five games lost. Pardubice are looking forward to face league's leader Brno on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nymburk will play against Kolin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
