Regular Season Round 11: Rustavi - TSU 82-79

Important game to mention about took place in Rustavi. Fifth ranked Rustavi (6-4) saved a 3-point derby victory at home edging 4th placed TSU (5-5) 82-79 in the fight for the fourth place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of TSU. It looked good early as TSU took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Rustavi had a 18-14 second period charge getting the lead and TSU was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-82. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Tray Croft (185, college: UW-Parkside) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Guga Patashuri (199-1998) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. The former international power forward Beka Bekauri (209-1991, agency: BIG) came up with 22 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and the former international point guard George Tsintsadze (192-1986) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists respectively for TSU in the defeat. Rustavi moved-up to fourth place. TSU at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Delta.
