An interesting game for UMMC (15-0) which hosted in Yekaterinburg their biggest opponent MBA (14-2). Top-ranked UMMC had an easy win 84-42. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of MBA. UMMC held MBA to an opponent 19.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.0 percent accuracy of the winners. UMMC forced 21 MBA turnovers and had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Maria Vadeeva (193-1998) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Serbian power forward Tina Krajisnik-Jovanovic (190-1991) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international Elena Kirillova (185-1986, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) replied with 11 points and the former international point guard Karina Nizamova (170-1992) added 7 points in the effort for MBA. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-0 record. MBA at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Dynamo K.. UMMC are looking forward to face Neftyanik (#11) in Omsk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MBA will play at home against Rostov (#10) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
