Very expected game when 10th ranked Oldenburger TB (2-11) was smashed at home by fifth ranked Goetting.ASC (9-4) 88-65 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Nick Boakye (197-1995) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Christopher Schultz (194-2003) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four Goetting.ASC players scored in double figures. Center Nick Sander (205-2001) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Andre Galler (195-1992) added 18 points respectively for Oldenburger TB in the defeat. Oldenburger TB's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Goetting.ASC moved-up to third place, which they share with Berlin BG 2000. Oldenburger TB lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Goetting.ASC will meet league's second-placed Stade on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Oldenburger TB will play against Aschersleben (#5) and hope to secure a win.
