NBL top team - Brno (14-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat twelfth ranked Olomoucko (3-13) 90-73. They outrebounded Olomoucko 47-30 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Brno players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Olomoucko's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. The former international point guard Viktor Pulpan (191-1996, agency: Octagon Europe) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and the former international point guard Richard Balint (192-1996) accounted for 19 points and 5 assists. Four Brno players scored in double figures. American guard Jonathan Williams (190-1995, college: Toledo) came up with 21 points and 4 steals and the other American import forward Darious Moten (202-1992, college: Mercer) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Olomoucko in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brno have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-3 record. Olomoucko lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Brno will play against Opava (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Olomoucko will play against USK Praha (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
