Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Talavera (3-11) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Algeciras (10-4) 68-50 on Saturday. Algeciras looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Talavera's players. The best player for the winners was naturalized Gibraltar point guard Miguel Ortega (187-1991) who scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Senegalese forward Issa Thiam (208-1996, college: Rutgers) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Algeciras players scored in double figures.
