Regular Season Round 16: Nanterre - Cholet 66-100

Leader Cholet delivered the fourteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 14th ranked Nanterre (5-9) 100-66. Cholet dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Nanterre's 24. Cholet forced 20 Nanterre turnovers and outrebounded them 40-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Nanterre's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of point guard Matheo Leray (190-2003) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists and forward Tidjane Salaun (203-2005) who added 24 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Cholet players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Noa Calabre (186-2005) responded with 15 points and center Rodney Rolle (206-2002) scored 8 points. Nanterre's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Cholet (14-2) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Loser Nanterre dropped to the fifteenth place with nine games lost. Cholet will meet at home Monaco (#13) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Nanterre will play against Limoges CSP and hope to secure a win.
