We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked Leuven Bears (5-6) outscored at home 7th ranked Okapi Aalst (5-8) 88-69 on Saturday. Leuven Bears dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Okapi Aalst's 24. American guard Brevin Pritzl (191-1996, college: Wisconsin) stepped up and scored 30 points (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Joshua Heath (186-1994, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 11 points and 9 assists. Leuven Bears' coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American point guard Jordan Walker (186-1997, college: Morehead St.) responded with 31 points (made all of his seven free throws) and Montenegrin Ivan Maras (207-1986) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Leuven Bears moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Belfius Mons and Feyenoord. Okapi Aalst lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Leuven Bears will meet Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#6) in the next round. Okapi Aalst will play against Liege Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
