Regular Season Round 15: Wulfen - Koeln DTV 66-85

Regionalliga round 15 most important game was a victory of Koeln DTV over 5th ranked BSV Wulfen 85-66 on Saturday night. Koeln DTV dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to BSV Wulfen's 20. It was a good game for point guard Patrick Reusch (185-1993) who led his team to a victory with 21 points. Julian Litera (199-1999) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Point guard Gabriel Jung (185-2001) answered with 23 points and Nils Peters (198-2000) added 10 points in the effort for BSV Wulfen. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Koeln DTV (8-7) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Muenster 2 and Hamm. BSV Wulfen lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Koeln DTV is looking forward to face higher ranked Recklinghausen (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BSV Wulfen will play against Bonn 2 (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
