Regular Season Round 13: Slovanka MB - Chomutov 74-86

No shocking result in a game in Vodochody where sixth ranked Chomutov (6-5) defeated 8th ranked Slovanka MB (3-9) 86-74 on Saturday. Chomutov looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American forward Najai Pollard (180-1997, college: Delaware St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Valentyna Kadlecova (182-2004) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. At the losing side forward Eliska Halova (179-2001) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Andrea Ondrouskova (175-2001) scored 15 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Slovanka MB's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chomutov moved-up to fifth place. Loser Slovanka MB keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Chomutov will meet at home higher ranked Sokol HK (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slovanka MB will play against the league's leader USK Praha (#1) and hope to secure a win.
