Regular Season Round 13: Asker Aliens - Nidaros Jets 86-64

Bottom-ranked Asker Aliens managed to get a second victory on Saturday night. This time they outleveled eleventh-ranked Nidaros Jets 86-64. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 22-point difference suggests that Asker Aliens is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Nidaros Jets' 42. Asker Aliens forced 21 Nidaros Jets turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Joshua Hart (194-1990, college: Va Intermont) fired 33 points (!!!) and 4 steals for the winners. His fellow American import guard Abdullah Yusuf (188, college: Fredonia St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Jakob Baiden (194-1993) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and Brage Sorensen added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Asker Aliens (2-14) moved-up to tenth place. Nidaros Jets lost their tenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Asker Aliens will meet higher ranked Centrum (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nidaros Jets will play against Fyllingen and hope to secure a win.
