Regular Season Round 16: Kirchheim - Schwenningen 70-75

There was an upset when higher ranked Kirchheim Knights (8-8) were defeated at home by seventeenth ranked Schwenningen (4-12) 75-70 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of Jacob Knauf (210-1997) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and American Delante Jones (194-1995, college: Seattle) who added 22 points during the contest. At the losing side Jonas Niedermanner (205-1996) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and American center Tyrone Nash (203-1988, college: Notre Dame) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Schwenningen moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Duesseldorf. Loser Kirchheim Knights keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. Schwenningen will meet higher ranked Muenster (#13) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kirchheim Knights will play against Titans in Dresden and hope to secure a win.
