No shocking result in a game in Kazan where fourth ranked CSKA U23 (16-6) defeated 8th ranked UNICS-2 (12-12) 82-71 on Tuesday. They outrebounded UNICS-2 41-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Rostislav Gusev (204-2006) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Daniil Klyuchenkov (199-2004) who added 10 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five CSKA U23 players scored in double figures. Guard Sergey Polstyanov (194-2002) responded with 15 points and 5 assists and forward Alexander Kalashnikov (196-2002) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. CSKA U23 have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 16-6 record. Loser UNICS-2 keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. CSKA U23 will meet N.Novgorod-2 (#7) in the next round. UNICS-2 will play against Enisey-2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
