The most interesting game of round 16 was a home defeat of 3rd ranked Sportist Svoge (9-3) to second ranked Balkan 2 (10-2) 98-89 in the game for the second place. Balkan 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Aleksandar Gavalyugov (185-2006) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Iliyan Pishtikov (192-2004) who added 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Five Balkan 2 players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Simeon Tsenov (196-1982) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds and American point guard Jimmie Hunt (187-1982, college: FPU, agency: Interperformances) scored 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Balkan 2 have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 10-2 record having just nine point less than leader Minyor 2015, which they share with Haskovo. Sportist Svoge at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Balkan 2 is looking forward to face CSKA 2 (#4) in Sofia in the next round. Sportist Svoge will play at home against Levski 2 and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
