Regular Season Round 14: Polit-Halychyna - Zaporizhye 99-68

Not a big story in a game in Lviv where 9th ranked Zaporizhye (2-13) was rolled over by sixth ranked Polit-Halychyna (5-7) 99-68. The game without a history. Polit-Halychyna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Polit-Halychyna forced 22 Zaporizhye turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Zaporizhye's players. Point guard Mykhailo Horobchenko (185-1998, agency: BIG) notched 10 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and forward Vladlen Berezhnyy (199-1995) supported him with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five Polit-Halychyna players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds by forward Roman Morozov (204-1998) did not help to save the game for Zaporizhye. Forward Mark Ber (194-2003) added 15 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Polit-Halychyna moved-up to fifth place. Zaporizhye at the other side stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Polit-Halychyna will play against Hoverla (#6) in Ivano-Frankivsk in the next round. Zaporizhye will play on the road against Stariy Lutsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
