Regular Season Round 12: SKM I - Birzu 88-78

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked SKM I (7-3) beat 10th ranked Birzu (2-9) in Vilniaus 88-78 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 49-37 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. SKM I looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by Kristupas Civilis (-2005) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and Mykolas Maciulis (-2005) supported him with 15 points and 4 assists. SKM I's coach Ignas Pagalys used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 29 points and 9 assists by point guard Nojus Petraitis (178-2005) did not help to save the game for Birzu. Guard Dovydas Kacinskas (185-2005) added 22 points and 8 rebounds. Five SKM I and four Birzu players scored in double figures. SKM I maintains fourth position with 7-3 record. Loser Birzu keeps the tenth place with nine games lost. SKM I will meet Plunges (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Birzu will play against Perkunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
