Regular Season Round 14: Aros - KFUM Lidingo 59-80

Another exciting game was played in Vasteras between third ranked KFUM Lidingo and their close opponent Aros where KFUM Lidingo (8-3) crushed Aros (7-4) on the road with 21-point difference 80-59. KFUM Lidingo made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Aros turnovers and outrebounded them 43-27 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Tom Goransson (201-1998) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Forward Alexandar Petrovic (197-1993) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four KFUM Lidingo players scored in double figures. Tonny Dabaugh replied with 3 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Philip Babic (-1994) added 9 points and 5 steals in the effort for Aros. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KFUM Lidingo maintains third position with 8-3 record behind leader Djurgarden. Aros at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Akersberga and Hogsbo 2. KFUM Lidingo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aros will play on the road against the league's leader Lulea S. (#1) and hope to get back on the winning track.
