The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked ETB Miners (14-2) on the court of eighth ranked Hagen-Haspe on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by Hagen-Haspe 99-73. It ended at the same time the 14-game winning streak of ETB Miners. Hagen-Haspe forced 23 ETB Miners turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by ETB Miners' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Ricardo Artis II (198-1993, college: Wiley) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Dutch point guard Sven Cikara (188-2001, agency: One Motive Sports) contributed with 25 points and 9 assists for the winners. Artis II is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Hagen-Haspe players scored in double figures. American guard Devin Peterson (185, college: WCU) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Russian Nikita Khartchenkov (201-1987) added 19 points in the effort for ETB Miners. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hagen-Haspe (8-8) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 5 other teams. ETB Miners at the other side still keep top position with two games lost. Hagen-Haspe is looking forward to face BG TVO / Jahn (#12) in Lindhorst in the next round where they are favorite. ETB Miners will play at home against Hamm (#8) and are hoping to win this game.
