No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Muenster 2 (9-7) beat on the road 14th ranked Aachen (3-13) 100-84 on Saturday. Muenster 2 made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Paul Viefhues (195-2005) who scored that evening 23 points and point guard Lorenz Neuhaus (183-2003) supported him with 19 points. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by swingman Tim Schoenborn (193-1990) did not help to save the game for Aachen. American forward Sasha French (211-1996, college: Azusa Pacific) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Five Muenster 2 and four Aachen players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Muenster 2 moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Aachen at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Giessen Ak..
