The game between Top Four teams took place in Sofia. One of their biggest challengers host Levski (8-5) lost to second ranked Balkan (10-3) 83-71. Balkan looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. International Dimitar Dimitrov (203-1993) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Pavlin Ivanov (195-1993) chipped in 14 points and 10 assists during the contest. Five Balkan players scored in double figures. Balkan's coach Toni Dechev used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Haitian center John Florveus (211-1990, college: Georgia, agency: BIG) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Asen Velikov (188-1986) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Defending champion maintains second position with 10-3 record having five points less than leader Rilski. Levski at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Balkan are looking forward to face Beroe (#5) in Stara Zagora in the next round. Levski will play at home against Chernomorets and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
