Everything went according to plan when first ranked Empoli (12-2) outscored at home 10th ranked RO SAzzurra (4-10) 82-33 on Sunday. Empoli dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to RO SAzzurra's 24. Empoli forced 26 RO SAzzurra turnovers and outrebounded them 52-19 including a 24-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by RO SAzzurra's players. The best player for the winners was center Laura Manetti (180-1999) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Anna Bambini (177-1999) chipped in 8 points and 13 rebounds.
