Regular Season Round 15: Dnipro - BIPA O. 80-66

The game between second ranked BIPA O. (11-3) and fourth ranked Dnipro (10-5) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. BIPA O. was defeated by Dnipro in Dnipro 80-66. The game was mostly controlled by Dnipro. BIPA O. managed to win fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dnipro forced 24 BIPA O. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (205-1989) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Maksym Zakurdaev (196-1993) chipped in 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Evgeni Tkachenko (203-1983) who recorded 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Yaroslav Kadygrob (195-1991, agency: BIG) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dnipro maintains fourth place with 10-5 record. Newly promoted BIPA O. keeps the second position with three games lost. Dnipro are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Zaporizhye (#9) in Zaporozhye in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BIPA O. will play at home against Stariy Lutsk (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
