Regular Season Round 14: Broni - Trieste 71-61

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Broni (8-6) won against at home 9th ranked Trieste (5-9) 71-61 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Swedish forward Amanda Kantzy (186-1996, college: Albany) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Giulia Manzotti (178-1993) chipped in 14 points. Power forward Costanza Miccoli (181-1995) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and guard Giorgia Sammartini (175-2001) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Broni moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Treviso. Newly promoted Trieste keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with Bolzano BC. Broni will meet league's second-placed Udine on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Trieste will play against Vicenza (#14) and hope to secure a win.
