Very predictable result in Lublin where sixth ranked Kotwica (13-7) outscored bottom-ranked Start 2 (1-19) 103-77 on Wednesday. Kotwica dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Start 2's 24 and made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Kotwica forced 23 Start 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Damian Pieloch (195-1989) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and Patryk Pulkotycki (200-2000) who added 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Kotwica players scored in double figures. Sebastian Walda (196-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Norbert Ziolko (189-1999) scored 19 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kotwica moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Starogard Gd. Start 2 lost twelfth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 19 lost games. Kotwica will meet at home higher ranked Gornik (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Start 2 will play against the league's second-placed Dziki (#2) in Warszawa and hope to win that game.
