There was no surprise in Zgorzelec where 16th ranked Turow (5-15) was defeated by sixth ranked Kociewskie Diably (13-7) 106-100 on Wednesday. Kociewskie Diably made 36-of-43 free shots (83.7 percent) during the game, while Turow only scored seventeen points from the stripe. Kociewskie Diably had a 40-29 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Filip Malgorzaciak (192-1993) who helped to win the game recording 39 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (was perfect 19-for-19 from the free throw line !!!) and Wojciech Czerlonko (195-1995) who added 13 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Guard Krzysztof Jakobczyk (183-1986) responded with 23 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and swingman Szymon Pawlak (192-1998) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Turow's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kociewskie Diably moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kolobrzeg. Loser Turow keeps the sixteenth position with 15 games lost. Kociewskie Diably will meet at home higher ranked GKS (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Turow will play against Decka (#9) in Pelpin and hope to secure a win.
