The most exciting game of round 16 in the WBBL took place in Riga. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 7th ranked Latvian TTT Riga (6-6) to third ranked Lithuanian Kibirkstis-MRU (10-2) 66-64 on Friday evening. Kibirkstis-MRU have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending Lithuanian champion keeps a position of league leader. Defending Latvian champion TTT Riga dropped to the eighth place with six games lost. Kibirkstis-MRU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. TTT Riga will play on the road against Daugavpils Universitate (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
