Not a big story in a game when 4th placed Mannheim (12-5) was outscored on the road by second ranked TV Langen (14-4) 83-59 on Saturday. TV Langen dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Mannheim's 30. Niklas Pons (192-1999) nailed 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and forward Bastian Winterhalter (198-1990) accounted for 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four TV Langen players scored in double figures. Swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-1992) came up with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Daniel McGee (188, college: Purdue NW) added 15 points respectively for Mannheim in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TV Langen maintains second place with 14-4 record behind leader Saarlouis. Loser Mannheim keeps the fourth position with five games lost.
