There was no surprise when 7th ranked Bonn 2 (8-9) was outleveled on the road by third ranked Muenster 2 (10-7) 101-73 on Saturday. Muenster 2 forced 20 Bonn 2 turnovers. Point guard Lorenz Neuhaus (183-2003) nailed 15 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and Jan Koenig (201-1993) accounted for 17 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Janne Mueller (192-2006) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Canadian point guard Justin Andrew (183, college: St.Francis X.) added 14 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Bonn 2 in the defeat. Five Muenster 2 and four Bonn 2 players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Muenster 2. Newly promoted Muenster 2 maintains third place with 10-7 record having five points less than leader Saarlouis, which they share with Ulm BBU 01 and Soeflingen. Loser Bonn 2 keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. Muenster 2 will meet at home BSV Wulfen (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Bonn 2 will play against Leverkusen 2 and hope to secure a win.
