Top ranked AO Triton (10-4) recorded its fourth loss in Athens. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Maroussi (9-5) 78-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AO Triton. Forward Nikolaos Kamarianos (204-1997) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Orfeas Stasinos (183-1988) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Power forward Michalis Kamperidis (206-1994, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Alexandros Proiskos (195-2000, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for AO Triton. AO Triton's coach Margarita Malama rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Maroussi moved-up to third place, which they share with Iraklis and Eleftheroupoli. AO Triton at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Panerythraikos. Maroussi will play against league's leader Panerythraikos in New Eritrea in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AO Triton will play on the road against Iraklis in Thessaloniki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
