Important game to mention about took place in Ulm. Sixth ranked Ulm BBU 01 (10-7) saved a 2-point victory at home edging leader Saarlouis (15-3) 94-92 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Saarlouis. Ulm BBU 01 forced 22 Saarlouis turnovers. Danish Tobias Jensen (190-2004) stepped up and scored 28 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and point guard Maximilian Langenfeld (195-2003) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Ricky Easterling (189-1983, college: Bridgewater) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Paulo Rato scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ulm BBU 01 moved-up to third place, which they share with Soeflingen and Muenster 2. Saarlouis at the other side still keep top position with three games lost. Ulm BBU 01 will play against league's second-placed TV Langen at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Saarlouis will play against Fellbach and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
