Regular Season Round 17: Selfoss - Skallagrimur 88-90

The most exciting game of round 17 in the D1 took place in Selfoss. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th placed Selfoss (9-8) to fifth ranked Skallagrimur (8-9) 90-88 on Friday evening. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 28-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American Keith Jordan (198-1998, college: SHU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds for the winners and Slovenian forward Milorad Sedlarevic (201-1993, college: UPEI) chipped in 21 points. Forward Arnaldur Grimsson (195-2002) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Isak Perdue (186-2003) scored 13 points and 9 assists. Four Selfoss players scored in double figures. Skallagrimur maintains fifth place with 8-9 record. Selfoss at the other side keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Skallagrimur are looking forward to face IA (#8) in Akranes in the next round. Selfoss will play on the road against Armann (#9) in Reykjavik and are hoping to win this game.
