There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Stuttgart (9-9) beat at home 4th ranked Mannheim (12-6) 82-75 on Saturday. Stuttgart made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Mannheim turnovers. Hugo Mounier (197-2001) notched 19 points, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and center Quentin Kunst (198-2000) supported him with 22 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Even a double-double of 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by naturalized Russian Albert Kuppe (200-1988) did not help to save the game for Mannheim.
