Not a big story in a game in Zgorzelec where 16th ranked Turow (5-17) was rolled over by ninth ranked Miast Szkla (12-10) 86-62 on Saturday. Miast Szkla dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Turow's 26. Miast Szkla forced 20 Turow turnovers and outrebounded them 40-24 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Latvian center Klavs Dubults (203-1996) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Forward Maksymilian Zagorski (198-1999) chipped in 19 points. Pawel Krefft (192-1996) produced 13 points and swingman Szymon Pawlak (192-1998) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Miast Szkla moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Koszalin. Turow lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Bytom. Miast Szkla will meet at home higher ranked GKS (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Turow will play against Slask (#12) in Wroclaw and hope to secure a win.
