Regular Season Round 16: Eurogaza - Novaschool 70-68

Seventh-ranked Novaschool (5-8) made lots of trouble for second ranked Eurogaza (10-3) in Cordoba on Saturday. Eurogaza managed to secure only two-point victory 70-68. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of French Hugo Cluysen (203-1998, college: NAIT) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and Argentinian-Croatian point guard Valentin Burgos (184-1992) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) during the contest. At the losing side Oscar Diaz (190-2002) responded with 28 points and 4 assists and center Chema del Rio (203-1991) scored 5 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Eurogaza have an impressive six-game winning streak. Newly promoted Eurogaza maintains second position with 10-3 record having seven points less than leader Huelva CD. Novaschool lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with eight games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Eurogaza will meet league's leader Almeria on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Novaschool will play against Oh!Tels ULB (#6) in La Linea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
