Very predictable result when third ranked Wolmirstedt (10-6) outscored at home 8th ranked TKS 49ers (7-8) 94-65 on Sunday. They outrebounded TKS 49ers 42-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. Wolmirstedt looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by TKS 49ers' players. Maximilian Begue (192-2001) stepped up and scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and Lennard Winter (195-2000) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Four Wolmirstedt players scored in double figures. Robin Jorch (211-1994, college: Boise St.) responded with 9 points and 6 rebounds and Yannick Hildebrandt (195-1997) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wolmirstedt maintains third place with 10-6 record having six points less than leader BSW Sixers, which they share with Oberhaching. TKS 49ers at the other side dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Ehingen. Wolmirstedt will meet Giessen Pointers (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TKS 49ers will play against Rist Wedel (#11) and hope to secure a win.
