Regular Season Round 17: TED Ankara - Yalovaspor 73-71

The most exciting game of round 17 in the TBL took place in Ankara. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Yalovaspor (10-7) to sixth ranked TED Ankara (11-6) 73-71 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Yalovaspor. 24 personal fouls committed by Yalovaspor helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Swingman Kaan Sariaslan (193-1997) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. Point guard Omer Kucuk (188-2001) contributed with 13 points and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Kadir Bayram (185-1996) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds and American center Jamuni McNeace (208-1996, college: Oklahoma) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Yalovaspor. Yalovaspor's coach Dervis Guney rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TED Ankara moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sigortam.net. Newly promoted Yalovaspor keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. TED Ankara is looking forward to face Haremspor (#11) in Istanbul in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Yalovaspor will play on the road against Mamak (#9) in Ankara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
