There was an upset when higher ranked Gipuzkoa (10-9) lost to thirteenth ranked Castello (7-12) in Castellon 90-96 on Wednesday. Castello forced 19 Gipuzkoa turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American Jalen Nesbitt (198, college: UNF, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners and scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Eric Stutz (203-1992, college: EKU) accounted for 23 points (made all of his eight free throws) for the winning side. Castello's coach Juan Antonio Orenga used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Justin Jaworski (190-1999, college: Lafayette) came up with 24 points and 5 rebounds and American-Italian guard Adam Sollazzo (198-1990, college: ETSU) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Gipuzkoa in the defeat. Castello moved-up to eleventh place. Gipuzkoa lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Castello will meet at home Ourense (#13) in the next round. Gipuzkoa will play against Cantabria (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
