Regular Season Round 18: Xirdalan - Sabah 63-82

The most shocking disappointment of round 18 was a home defeat of 3rd ranked Xirdalan (10-6) by fourth ranked Sabah (11-5) who outscored them by 19 points 82-63. It ended the three-game winning streak of Xirdalan. It was a key game for the second position in the league. They outrebounded Xirdalan 41-28 including 16 on the offensive glass. American forward AJ Patty (204-1995, college: MSU) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Nigerian forward Udun Osakue (198-1992, college: SF State, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Sabah players scored in double figures. Sabah's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American power forward Andrew Corum (201-1996, college: Virginia St.) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Devin Pullum (188, college: Rogers St.) scored 22 points and 4 assists. Sabah have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Serhedci. Xirdalan at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost.
