Regular Season Round 13: Batumi - Cactus 90-72

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Cactus (9-3) on the court of seventh ranked Batumi on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Batumi 90-72. The game was mostly controlled by Batumi. Cactus managed to win third quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kyle Riddley (192-1996, college: Pfeiffer) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 assists. Power forward Jordan Session (203-1996, college: Georgia St.) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Ryan Allen (188-1998, college: Delaware) answered with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Jason Copman (198-1998, college: Dominican, NY) added 12 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Cactus. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Batumi have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Cactus at the other side still keep top position with three games lost. Batumi are looking forward to face Delta (#7) in Gurjaani in the next round. Cactus' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena TSU.
