Top ranked HydroTruck (18-5) recorded its fifth loss in Radom on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked Gornik (17-6) 77-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of HydroTruck. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. They outrebounded HydroTruck 44-24 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Arinze Chidom (206-1997, college: UC Riverside) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Adrian Kordalski (186-1995) chipped in 10 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Gornik players scored in double figures. Filip Zegzula (188-1994) produced 29 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Maksymilian Formella (194-2002) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Gornik have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 17-6 record behind leader Radom, which they share with Dziki Wwa. HydroTruck at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Gornik is looking forward to face Polonia (#17) in Bytom in the next round which should be an easy win for them. HydroTruck will play on the road against AZS PO (#8) in Opole and is hoping to win this game.
