Regular Season Round 20: Cholet - Le Mans 75-55

ProA U21 top team - Cholet (18-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifteenth ranked Le Mans (7-13) 75-55. Cholet made 19-of-24 charity shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Le Mans turnovers. Strangely Le Mans outrebounded Cholet 46-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. Le Mans was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a quality performance of point guard Matheo Leray (190-2003) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Tidjane Salaun (203-2005) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Cholet's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Raphael Djasrambaye (205-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and Dutch power forward Mathias Van Den Beemt (213-2001) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Cholet have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-2 record. Le Mans at the other side dropped to the fourteenth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Dijon. Cholet will play against Strasbourg (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Le Mans will play against the league's second-placed ASVEL (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
