Everything went according to plan in Valencia where fifth ranked Torrent (12-5) outleveled 14th ranked Jovens (3-14) 74-54 on Saturday. Torrent forced 21 Jovens turnovers. Russian guard Ivan Alexandrov (192-2003) stepped up and scored 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and swingman Andreu Saez (192-2004) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Torrent players scored in double figures. Carlos Avino responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Borja Garcia (190-1996) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Torrent. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Esportiu and Puerto Sagunto. Newly promoted Jovens keeps the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Torrent will meet Alginet B (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jovens will play against Puerto Sagunto in Gilet and hope to secure a win.
