Regular Season Round 18: Haremspor - TED Ankara 77-73

An interesting game took place in Istanbul where higher ranked TED Ankara (11-7) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Haremspor (7-11) 77-73. Haremspor dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to TED Ankara's 22 and made 19-of-20 charity shots (95.0 percent) during the game. Haremspor had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Donte Clark (194-1994, college: Texas Southern) notched 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and guard Tugberk Gedikli (192-1991) supported him with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 23 points and 10 assists by swingman Kaan Sariaslan (193-1997) did not help to save the game for TED Ankara. American guard Shane Gibson (188-1990, college: Sacred Heart) added 18 points and 5 rebounds. Haremspor moved-up to tenth place, which they share with OGM Orman and Fenerbahce 2. TED Ankara at the other side dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Haremspor will play against higher ranked Yalovaspor (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. TED Ankara will play against the league's leader Mersin where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
